David and Erin Rodewald founded The David James Agency LLC in January 2003 with the goal of providing top-quality, cost-effective and creative public relations to an important and often overlooked niche within the high technology industry - the start-up. Both partners have 20 years of public relations experience.

Prior to establishing the agency, David served as Group Vice President of Communications for Alcatel’s Enterprise and Consumer Group, based in Paris, France. Previously, he held senior corporate positions with Alcatel Mobile Phone Division, Xylan, Lantronix, Retix and Fibermux. David began his career as a reporter in Portland, Oregon, and also practiced public relations at agencies in Portland and Los Angeles. David is the Managing Director of DJA and oversees all client relations for the company.

Erin is Operations Director of The David James Agency LLC. She began her career with Manning, Selvage & Lee in Los Angeles, representing high tech, public affairs and business clients. She later served as press secretary for the Los Angeles City Council President before starting her own consulting practice.
